Monkebius
A private household assistant, running on a Mac mini at home.
Monkebius is a personal, single-household project. It is not a product, not a service, and not available to sign up for. It exists to help one family manage their own information: a daily reading digest for a child, reminders and briefings for an adult, some music and lights, and a private library built from newsletters the household already subscribes to.
What it does with Google data
Monkebius connects to a single dedicated Google account owned by the household. It reads newsletters delivered to that account so they can be summarised and searched privately, and it reads and adds events on that account's calendar.
- It runs on hardware in the owner's home. It is not hosted in the cloud.
- It has no users other than the household that runs it.
- It does not sell, share, or transmit personal data to third parties.
